Bengaluru-based manufacturer CREO launched their smartphone, the CREO Mark 1 exclusively in India for sale only on Flipkart. The Mark 1 sells for under Rs 20,000, placing it in competition with some of the biggest names in the smartphone business. Its main difference from other phones is the Mark 1’s continually evolving operating system. Dubbed the Fuel OS, and based off the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS, the Mark 1 Fuel OS promises not only seamless switching between apps but also monthly software updates to make the device look and perform like new every month, automatically.
Inside the CREO Mark 1 is a 1.95 GHz octa-core Helios X10 processor by MediaTek plus a dedicated Mali-T720 MP4 graphics processor and customized UI. Games and apps run flawlessly on this powerful combination. The 3 GB RAM onboard allows sufficient system memory to avoid lags, skips, and delays, and the Mark 1 has storage capacity for images and media that expands up to 128 GB.
The Gorilla-glass protected 5.5-inch touchscreen display features rounded 2.5-D glass to enhance the quad-HD LTPS/LCD display. Images and videos appear stunningly lifelike. The frame and body of the CREO Mark 1 are crafted from an aircraft-grade aluminium-magnesium alloy in gunmetal black. The phone is ultra-slim and fits easily in the hand for effortless one-handed use. It is a mere 8.7 mm thick and weighs only 190 gm.
The Mark 1 features an advanced 21 MP primary rear-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture, dual-tone LED flash, continuous shooting and HDR options. This camera also shoots 4K video at 120 FPS resolution or in Ultra Slo-Mo, captures 3-D and Live photos. The 8 MP secondary camera on the front of the Mark 1 is enhanced with multiple features to create better images and selfies. All this is supported by the CREO Mark 1 3100 mAh phone battery, which promises up to 21 hours of talk time on 3G.
Multiple connectivity options come included with the CREO Mark 1, including Wi-Fi, 4G LTE on both SIM slots, 3G, 2G, Bluetooth v4.0, micro USB 2.0 and more. If the phone is stolen, the built-in Retriever feature automatically sends an alert to your email when a new SIM card is inserted. Working with CREO support, the user can obtain the number of the new SIM card, even after a factory reset. The phone does not need an active internet connection to activate this feature.
