Redmi 3s and 3s Prime Launched in India

Not everyone wants a premium model of smartphone, that’s why Xiaomi has created an entry-level set of smartphones that are more affordable. But only you’ll know their true cost, as they have some great features. You have the choice of the Redmi 3s, or the Redmi 3s Prime, as both have launched this summer in India.

These phones are available in gold, silver, or black colors. They have an all-metal design, so will be tough enough to withstand the occasional drop on the floor.

Redmi is a line of smartphones that continues to amaze. They began with the Redmi 1, moved onto the Redmi 2, and the Redmi 2 Prime. Xiaomi is the company who created the concept that smartphones can be affordable, yet still technology-laden with features. In other words, affordability does not mean that the materials used to make it are cheap. These phones keep the prices down since they are also manufactured at their smart phone facility in India.

The Redmi 3s is a 16 GB version with 2GB of RAM. This phone does not have a fingerprint sensor, which likely won’t be a deal breaker for most users.

The screen does offer great viewing angles and great color.

Both phones weigh around 144 grams, which is hefty for this size, but most of the weight lies in its higher storage capacity battery. The phones also have a micro-SIM slot, while the Prime can also use nano-SIMs too.

Both phones use the MIUI and Android Marshmallow OS. It’s hoped that MIUI will have an upgrade later in August to 8.

You’ll be surprised to learn that the Redmi 3s only costs Rs 6999, while the Prime version costs Rs 8999. Both phones officially went on sale as of August 9th on mi.com. You’ll be able to find the phones for sale on Flipkart on August 16th.
